ok.. i didn't manage to go to the gym this morning but i went in the afternoon after lecture. gym was good. i only did about 30minutes of cross-trainer and some stretching straight after. i also did some sit-ups. well, i don't want to work really hard today since i plan to workout everyday. so i'm just going to take it easy... working out it is actually the time when i release my stress, to be honest, whenever i do some workout i felt peace from within and the feeling gets better and better when i do stretches. perhaps i shall try yoga~ since i bought quite a few CDs from Brunei. yea, sounds good to me.
owh gosh, talking about exercise just excites me. that is most certainly the reason why i take sport course as my degree. i am very passionate about exercise. you people out there can ask me anything to do with exercise and i can go on and on for hours :D
the thing that i've learnt about myself as i go on with this degree. i realised that i am more of an individual sportwoman. by saying that i mean i am more passionate about sports that are not group-related. for example, tennis, swimming, aerobics, running and jogging as compared to football, netball and basketball. i know for a coach-to-be i need to fulfill the full requirement of being able to coach all kinds of sport - individual and team sport - i just prefer one better than the other. when it comes to team sport i need to work harder that's all. not that i am complaining. hey~ i am studying what i really believed in... so life is good!!!
also the best thing about studying what i love is that i can make a full use out of it for my own benefits. for instance today in Exercise Physiology lecture. our lecturer talked about Carbohydrate and how it is important to have it in adequate amount in our body as fuel. if we don't have it enough our body will seek for alternative source of fuel - fat and protein. Fat takes along time to burn, so basically protein is the fast option. ok, protein is not really a good idea to be broken down as fuel. why? proteins are usually found in our muscles, so when proteins are broken down, you will lose your muscle mass which leads to fatigue. and muscle is close related to metabolism; the greater muscle mass you have, the higher your metabolism, the more fat you burn. so~ not enough carbs, protein used up as fuel, muscle mass drop, metabolism drop, performance declined. in the end, so called want to lose weight will be impossible. why? if you still practice your usual diet when your lifestyle has changed - workout - you won't be able to lose weight because less muscles to help you - low metabolism. so carb intake needs to be increased in the diet.
people usually mislead whenever they heard Carbs. Carbs are actually good but when taken in in excess, it will turns to FAT. so don't take it in excess then~~~ :p
this info definitely helps me with my weight issue. of course what i've mentioned here is not as simple as that. i've to learn the details; learn the mechanism involved and some theory behind it.. ok ok.. hehhe see~ i told you i can go on and on.. i better stop here~
