swam with Haida, Singaporean Malay friend of mine who is taking the same course as me. YO HAIDA!! we did pretty good job!! 2 hours of swimming (11am and 3pm). love it. and we thurst for MORE!! swimming everyday SHALL WE??
today i conquered my fear! i swam in 1.8m pool. my mind told me that was a reeeeaaaaly deep pool due to my first horrible experience last semester.
so today, i tried to get to know this 1.8m pool. i tried to make friend with it. it was quite friendly. my mind was relaxed and my insecurity vanished. gosh! i am so proud that i managed to swim the whole length freestyle no problem. fear no more! i got extremly excited, so decided to swim again tomorrow. feels sooooo good!!!
owh yea, from HMES 2270, i have something to share. James, our lecturer was talking on how to improve mood when exercising. so listed below are some of the suggested ways that has been proved through various studies:
rhythmical abdominal breathing
relative absence of interpersonal competition
closed and predictable activites
rhythmical and repetitive movement
> 20 minutes in duration, moderate intensity, 2-3 times per week
enjoyable
so, all of us in the lecture theatre were trying to apply these suggestions to our day to day activities. all of us were paying so much attention and level of seriousness was high; so there were distinct silence for few minutes.
then our lecturer broke the silence by saying "i know you guys think that sex fits all of these crateria, although some people might not last for 20 minutes and doing it for 2-3 times a week" ALL OF US WERE LAUGHING!!!! totally didn't see that coming. that was definitely didn't pass my mind!! hahaha.. then, we read through the list again... from one to six. then we laugh some more!!!!! HAHAHAHA..."rhythmical abdominal breathing" "repetitive movement" "enjoyable" owh my gosh!!!
