Field Trip
in the morning, a group of Public Health and Nutrition students went to Fonterra Dairy Products Manufacture. we had a tour around the place. this place is HUGE and EXPENSIVE. there is this one processing area cost 6 million. ONE AREA I TELL YOU. imagine if you bomb that place. hahaha.. unfortunately when we were touring around, the staffs were not around doing the work. pretty disappointed actually, because i was expecting to see the process of putting the ice-cream into the cone, coated it and so-on. or watch the milk flows into the boxes, etc. *sigh*
well, there was a lecture at the beginning of the visit. the representative talks about the procedures of making the products, the labelling - 'high in calcium', 'low in fat' - and how to get that labelling approved, cleaning processes, safety, etc.
in the end, we were indulged with free ice-creams and milk.
this one is not served though (how i wish~)
in the afternoon, i went out with Veronica. i chatted with him the night before. i begged her to bring me out. haha.. was kind off tired of studying. so, luckily Veron felt the same thing.. we met up at the city. on our way to Harbour Town. this caught my eyes.
who, in a right state of mind would buy this HORRIFYING WEDDING DRESS (on the right). when she walked down the aile (did i spell that right?), people would cry!!!, not because of joy but because of .... (lets not finish the sentence) haha.. who designed this dress!!! and the most important question WHO PUT IT ON THE DISPLAY WINDOW!! SO CONFIDENT!! Veron and i were laughing all the way to Harbour Town. owh yea, i had been neglecting Adidas shop. so today i went in. i bought one top and one long pants. i decided not to put them on display~ hehe.. the shops today closes at 5.30pm (i TOLD you Ron~~ hahhaa) so we decided to head back to the city to kill time till sunset. we went to Jaws, Japanese Restaurant for dinner (as for me it was 'penyunkaian'). i spent about $24 there. gosh Ron, we ate alot. but the thing was, Japanese food didn't give us the feeling of 'cannot-walk' kind of full. so it was good. then, we went to KFC, i need to buy something for sahur - meal before dawn.
finger lickin' good

the next day~ haha we decided to go shopping AGAIN. Ron complained to me that she didn't manage to shop much yesterday. i didn't mind at all~ so at 4pm we went to the city. we were rushing again because today, the shop closed at 5.30pm as well. *cough* we went to Harbour Town.. haha.. Ron~ who decided to go there again??? was it me or YOU???... HAHAHA.. err errr.. since we went there, and Ron was teasing me about topping up my Adidas clothings from yesterday, hehe... so yea.. i did. and~ i bought two more tops and another long pants. what can i say??? there were on sale 30%!!! we went out for dinner again but tonight we went to Insan, Indonesian Restaurant. there were menus available for us to choose but also there were cooked food ready to eat at the counter (like buffet). there were three two three options for the rice; small - wih one type of main dish, and veggie; Medium - with two types of main dish and veggies; Large- with three. i chose the Medium one.
i didn't expect it to overflow my plate!!! haha.. but i finished them all *oppss*
Dahriah, Veronica. we look so peacefull and patient but actually we were HUNGRY
4/4/07
I MSNed Veronica immediately after i reached home lastnight. i asked her, "do you want to go out tomorrow morning? you still need to buy some more 'baju' right?"..furthermore i told her that i would be available from morning till before 11am. hahaha Ron simply agreed. not just that, Ron was 'willing' to wake up early to maximise shopping time. the malls open at 9am and some opens at 8. so yes, Ron didn't mind me waking her up at 7am.. where the go Ron~ so PROUD of you... hahahaa. so Ron managed to buy i think four tops. me?? i just bought solutions for my contact lens, boxes of tissue and cokeZero.
at night, it was MULTICULTURAL NIGHT at UWA. i went there with Shelly. in this event of the year, variety of foods sold in each different stalls. mostly asians. but some were weird ones like 'fried coke'. fried ice-cream is acceptable, but FRIED COKE???.. AHHAA i didn't get the chance to try it though. the food sold tonight was expensive. one nasi lemak cost $6, 3 sticks of fish balls $5, cincau $2.50 (not even a full cup), 2 kebab stick $5. so as you can imagine, people could spent about $50 just for this one night.
at the entrance
as you can see, it was still bright outside eventhough it was all ready 6.30pm. it is getting closer and closer to summer now.
the crowd as it gets darker
also there were some performances
the stage
shelly, Dahriah
we were the in-front of the stage. YEA BABY~
some of the dance performances
(note: i am not really sure why there is a picture right after the same video. hmmm)
we missed the Lion Dance. i've recorded some people singing and other types of dances tonight but those files were too big. so i couldn't upload it.
so there you go~
