something popped in my mind just moments ago...
not really sure why or what initiated it but hey~ like Arifin once told me "have it written syg" :)
To Have Confidence is always a good start to any meeting, client consultation, presentation or a good way to start a casual conversation.
i am a person who does all the planning, organising, producing things close to perfection and seeing things to every-single detail.
well, my world has changed abit eversince i've got my first job. there are things that are uncontrolable: dissapointing outcome; it is not about me anymore; impromptu requests and sometimes given a job that it not in my area of capabilities.
how to tackle these situations?
1. first and formost
look the part. dress appropriately, have a good posture, immense confidence, and speak with a tone that 'yeah, i know what i am talking about'
2. secondly, know who you are, and the people you are working with or your support group. if you are attacked with questions that you absolutely have no idea, you could always refer them to the experts. by doing this, it tests your organisational skills, confidence.
i guess with confidence you can do anything... what is the use of compiling all the words to say when you don't know how to mouth it out? don't even have confidence to confront a person at the makeup counter? or ask a staff how much a packet of Milo cost?
with confidence comes respect.. and to get respect is not easy.. it could go to "hate" and if you going to work with the society, you have to be good at getting respect = people-skill.
ok ok, how about knowledge? i know for a fact that knowledge is power but again, if you have all the knowledge in the world, if you don't know how to sell your knowledge, it would be useless and you will ended up having people stepping your head.
hahaha ok, that is all for now.. i could produce one episode of Confidence if i continue :P
